Privacy policy
Last updated October 25, 2026. Fire Ground Board (the website and the iPhone app) is operated by MKE Group Inc., 1050 Mill Street, Combermere, Ontario, K0J 1B0, Canada. This page covers Fire Ground Board in detail. The MKE Group privacy policy covers all of our products.
What we collect
- Account: your email address. You sign in with one-time codes sent to that email, so we don't store a password for most accounts.
- Department records you or your officers enter: name, rank, crew, phone, radio number, certifications, training attendance, emergency contact, and optional medical details.
- Incident data: incident names and addresses, status changes, apparatus, chat messages and the activity log.
- Location: only when you tap "Share my location" on an incident, and only while that incident screen is open. Locations are deleted when the incident closes.
- Push alerts (iPhone app): if you turn on call alerts, your phone gets an alert token from Apple. It is stored with OneSignal and linked to your account ID so we can alert you about new calls, PAR checks and Missing firefighters. Turn alerts off any time in your iPhone Settings.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
Who can see it
Only members of your own department. Medical details and emergency contacts are visible only to you and your department's officers. We do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it is stored
Department data is stored with Supabase in Canada (database and sign-in). We also use Stripe (billing), OneSignal (push alerts), Google Workspace (sign-in emails) and a map provider (map images, which sees your device's IP address). Some of these providers process data in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How long we keep it
Records are kept while your department uses the service. When you delete your account in the app (Me, Delete my account) your login and personal profile are removed. Departments can ask us to delete all of their data at any time.
Children
Fire Ground Board is for fire service members and is not directed at children under 16.
Your rights
You can view and correct your details in the app, delete your account from Me, Delete my account, or contact us to access or delete your information under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA). If you're not happy with our answer you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
